We have an exciting opportunity for an HSE Manager to lead and drive our safety function. This is a key hands-on operational and leadership role responsible for driving best practice workplace safety across the Ezyquip Hire business.

The Role

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Drive engagement and improvement in HSE mindset, performance, and measures through innovative techniques, tools, and continuous improvement methodology.
• Continually oversee and improve Safety Management Plans, standards, and procedures to meet operating expectations and to comply with relevant standards, business objectives, and a safe working environment. Take necessary action to proactively improve, simplify, and modernise HSE practices.
• Drive the development of effective HSE strategies, providing specific insight to projects, goals, and initiatives.
• Partner with branch and site leaders to ensure that all aspects of the safety program are working in harmony and that effective leadership is employed in each area.
• Lead and coach all levels of the organisation to take personal accountability for safety of self and others.
• Set clear and measurable goals for safety performance; oversee and interpret safety performance data, analyse trends, report on statistics, and ensure action plans are set and executed.
• Champion and role model our leadership behaviours and values whilst driving a strong culture across HSE and Quality.
• Ensure effective Injury management and return-to-work processes are developed and deployed across the business.

The Person

Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Passionate about safety! Your prior experience as a Senior HSE Advisor or HSE Manager is a given, however we do require strong exposure to multisite environments either in mining or construction along with demonstrable knowledge of fixed and/or mobile plant fleets.
• A team player! Although you enjoy working independently, you understand it takes a community effort to realise and achieve goals. You cultivate meaningful relationships internal and external to Ezyquip Hire – you are wired to deliver an exceptional service experience that reflects positively on yourself and the business.
• A skilled communicator! Whether written or verbal, you can clearly articulate yourself be it through conversation, training sessions and presentations, report writing and proposals, investigations, or auditing.
• A technical expert! We will rely on you to provide technical advice that has relevance and delivered according to your audience. Underpinning your knowledge is your qualification in safety.
