We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Controller to lead and drive our Finance and Accounting function. This is a key hands-on operational and leadership role requiring a high level of financial expertise and strategic thinking to position the Ezyquip Hire business for growth and stability, whilst ensuring the financial health of the company.
This position represents an excellent opportunity to join a group which has a diverse company mix. We are looking for CA or CPA qualified candidates who have experience with change management, someone who thrives on rolling up their sleeves and diving deep to ensure the business keeps moving forward with their successful growth. A dedicated team will support you with day-to-day financial operations, however your ability to manage, review and control their output will be crucial to success.
The Role
Some of your duties will include:
- General ledger responsibilities including performance of monthly financial close and related processes; manual journals; reconciliations and analysis
- Responsible for preparation of statutory financial statements and reports – by legal entity – ensuring quality, reliability, accuracy and adherence to relevant accounting standards
- Support a strong control environment that manages and minimises inherent financial and regulatory reporting risk
- Provide support and advice on accounting issues in relation to new accounting standards or in the support of treatment of complex transactions
- Responsible for inter-business and inter-entity transfer arrangements to ensure appropriate allocation of revenues and expenses
- Monitor capital required in each business and legal entity
- Preparation of and adherence to Financial Reporting policies and processes ensuring strong controls and oversight over financial reporting related risks
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders to ensure successful audits and examinations.
